Silvertips use balanced effort to beat Spokane

Six different Everett players scored goals in the win.

EVERETT — Olen Zellweger had four assists and six different Everett players scored as the Silvertips beat the Spokane Chiefs 6-3 on Sunday at Angel of the Winds Arena.

Dexter Whittle, Caden Zaplitny, Alex Swetlikoff, Ben Hemmerling, Michal Gut and Austin Roest each netted goals for the Silvertips (41-10-3-5, 90 points). Gut and Niko Huuhtanen added two assists apiece.

Koen MacInnes stopped 23 of 26 shots to pick up the win for Everett.

Nick McCarry scored twice and Ty Cheveldayoff chipped in a goal for the Chiefs (19-35-4-1, 43).

Spokane goaltender Manny Panghli had 26 saves in 31 chances.
