Silvertips win final preseason contest

Everett beats Seattle 5-1.

EVERETT — The Everett Silvertips beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-1 on Saturday at Xfinity Arena to finish preseason play.

Montana Onyebuchi, Orrin Centazzo, Brandson Hein, Dawson Butt and Riley Bruce scored Everett’s goals. Bryce Kidnopp, Jake Christensen, Riley Sutter, Connor Dewar and Reece Vitelli notched assists.

Silvertips goalies Dorrin Luding and Danton Belluk combined for 22 saves.

Everett opens the 2017-18 regular season Saturday at home against the Portland Winterhawks.
