EVERETT — Bailey Greenlee tossed a one-hit shutout as the Snohomish softball team claimed the Class 3A Northwest District tournament title with an 8-0 win over Edmonds-Woodway on Friday evening at Phil Johnson Ballfields.
Greenlee, a senior who signed with Missouri State University, struck out 12 batters and walked two.
The Panthers (22-1) jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and pounded out 15 hits. Six players recorded multiple hits for Snohomish, which extended its win streak to 21 games.
It was the first district crown for the Panthers since 2014. Snohomish had lost in a district title game each of the previous three seasons.
Edmonds-Woodway fell to 15-8 with the loss.
Both teams already clinched state berths with district semifinal wins Tuesday.
