SUMNER — The Snohomish County Vikings defeated the Pierce County Bengals 48-0 in a Northwest Football League game Saturday at Sumner H.S.
After a scoreless first period, defensive back Chris Miller intercepted a Bengals pass and returned it to the opponents’ 5-yard line. A couple of offensive penalties later, Vikings quarterback Hal Bisnet connected with Tyquise Anthony on a 40-yard touchdown pass to start the rout. Bisnet finished with four touchdown passes as well as a rushing touchdown.
The Vikings defense held the Bengals to fewer than 100 yards of total offense.
Snohomish County (3-2) will take on South County at 6 p.m. next Saturday.
