Snohomish gets hot from 3-point range

ARLINGTON – Snohomish was on fire from long range.

The Panthers rebounded from their double-overtime loss to Stanwood on Friday by hitting nine of their 10 3-point shots in the first half to take a 77-48 Western Conference North Division victory over Arlington Tuesday night.

Josh O’Conner led the Panther attack by scoring 17 of his 19 points in the first half with five 3-pointers. Snohomish had a commanding 39-25 lead at halftime.

Josh Vanlandingham and Ryan Sommer also helped the Snohomish scoring by adding 15 and 13, respectively.

Arlington’s Ben Boursaw matched the game-high with 19 points for the Eagles.

Kamiak 45, Shorewood 39: Drew Wilkie scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter to help Shorewood pull within three points. But Kamiak was cool from the free-throw line and held on for the Wesco South victory. Hans Ditlev had 15 points and Nate Saban 12 to lead the Knights scoring.

Chey Silkiss-Hero then hit the front end of a 1-and-1 with 14 seconds left to give Lopez the victory in the loser-out Northwest B League playoff. Lopez advanced to the tri-district tournament and will play Cedar Park Christian in a first-round game at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Snohomish County Christian.
