Snohomish notches OT victory

SNOHOMISH – Snohomish coach Dan Pingrey had some wise-words for midfielder Jill Trumbull.

Heading into overtime he took Trumbull and another midfielder aside and told the two, both known for their scrappiness, to “wreak havoc”.

And Trumbull did, scoring the game-winning goal three minutes into overtime to give Snohomish the 1-0 victory over Cascade in the Wesco North contest Thursday night.

“It was a long throw with a flick, it got into the mix and she came through and slotted it in,” Pingrey said.

It was Snohomish’s third straight win, and fourth straight shutout. Goalkeeper Grace Lee was again in the net for Snohomish.
