Snohomish remains unbeaten, tops Arlington

SNOHOMISH — Arlington fought hard but couldn’t overcome the undefeated Panthers as Snohomish won the Wesco North wrestling meet 47-18 on Thursday night.

“We won a lot of close ones,” said Snohomish coach Kevin Judkins. “The score didn’t reflect the level of competition.”

Although Snohomish won 10 of the 14 matches, the 130- and 160-pound matches were close, with Snohomish winning 6-4 and 3-2 decisions, respectively.

The Panthers won the first match of the night in the 103-pound bout when Raylin Lucey pinned Jason Johnson in one minute and eight seconds.

“The quick pin set the tone for the night,” said Judkins.
