SNOHOMISH – Snohomish High School will honor long-time teacher and coach Howard Raines at a memorial service at 11 a.m. today at the school’s old gymnasium.
Raines, who died Sept. 4, taught and coached at Snohomish for 30 years over the decades of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s. He continued to volunteer his time to the wrestling program after his retirement until the 2001-02 season.
Raines, who also officiated at wrestling meets, was inducted into the Washington Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in 1997.
