MILAN, Italy — AC Milan playmaker Ronaldinho was banned for three Italian Cup matches Friday for elbowing defender David Rozenhal in a loss to Lazio last month.
Ronaldinho will begin serving the ban in next season’s tournament. Lazio beat Milan 2-1 on Dec. 3.
Ronaldinho has a fever and could miss Milan’s Serie A game with Fiorentina on Saturday.
