The undefeated Stealth have placed assistant captain Kyle Sorensen on the Injured Reserve list retroactive to February 1. Steve McKinlay, in his second season with the team, has been activated to replace Sorensen on the 23-man active roster.
Sorensen, a fourth-year veteran from Peterborough, Ontario, sustained a lower body injury in the Stealth’s 12-11 win over Colorado on January 30. He missed his first game of the season last week when the Stealth defeated the Minnesota Swarm 12-9. It was the first game Sorensen had missed since his rookie season in 2007. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound defender has a goal, three assists and 26 loose balls this season.
McKinlay, 6-foot, 190-pounds, has been activated for the first time this season. The second-year transition player from Coquitlam, British Columbia appeared in six games last season, recording a goal, two assists and 15 loose balls.
