RENTON — The expansion Seattle Sounders FC signed defender Taylor Graham, adding another player from Seattle’s former USL franchise.
The team announced Graham’s signing on Wednesday, the first day of training camp for the expansion MLS franchise.
Graham becomes the fourth player from the USL Sounders to join the new MLS team. Graham was twice first-team all-league in the USL and was voted the league’s defender of the year in 2005.
Graham joins Sebastien Le Toux, Sanna Nyassi and Chris Eylander as former USL Sounders now under contract with the MLS squad.
Graham, 28, was the 33rd overall pick of Kansas City in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft and played two seasons with the Wizards. He also spent 2006 and part of 2007 playing with the New York Red Bulls.
