Everett AquaSox got solid starting pitching for the third straight game.
And all three games ended with an AquaSox victory.
Juan Ramirez pitched six innings, allowing one run and Everett defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils 6-3 Monday night in a Northwest League game at Dust Devils Stadium in Pasco.
The right-handed Ramirez (1-1) gave up four hits and struck out five and followed back-to-back pitching performances by Edward Paredes (seven innings pitched, one earned run) on Sunday and Nolan Gallagher (four innings pitched, no earned runs) on Saturday.
Ramirez, who retired eight straight from the third to the fifth innings, was backed by strong offensive performances by Gregory Halman and Manelik Pimentel.
Halman was 4-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. The center fielder has hit safely in all seven of Everett’s games this year and raised his average from .333 to .429.
Pimentel was 2-for-3 with three RBI, including a solo home run to left field in the sixth inning, his first of the season.
Pimentel and Halman have hit both of Everett’s home runs this season.
Everett (5-2) got on the board first, scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
Meadowdale alum Brandon McKerney picked up his first professional save striking out two and pitching 11/3 innings of relief and Tri-City was handed its sixth straight loss.
