EVERETT — Jansiel Rivera had two hits and three RBI as the Everett AquaSox beat the Tri-City Dust Devils 8-3 on Monday in each team’s regular-season finale.
With the game tied 1-1, the AquaSox took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning. The AquaSox sent 13 men to the plate as Bobby Honeyman hit a two-run double and then scored on a two-run single by Rivera en route to the seven-run lead.
Nolan Hoffman (1-3) got the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Tri-City starter Manny Guzman (1-1) took the loss in the Northwest League game.
For the Dust Devils, Luke Becker singled three times, driving in two runs. Justin Paulsen homered and singled.
Everett hosts Game 1 of the Northwest League North Divisional Series on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against the Spokane Indians.
