EVERETT – Craig Chambers led the way for Jackson winning two events in a 98-46 Western Conference South dual-meet victory over Mariner at Goddard Stadium Thursday.

“Chambers ran very well today,” said Mariner coach Dave McFadden.

Chambers set the tone with a 11.2-second, first-place finish in the 100- dash and winning the 200 in 23.3 seconds.

Things started out good for Mariner with a first-place tie in the 110 hurdles by Rasy Bo and Marcel Vodegel. But Jackson won nine of the next 10 events.

“Jackson swept the distances and relays, which was the difference,” McFadden said.
