The San Jose Mercury News has this story on Stanford’s injury problems, specifically at running back. They aslo have this story on the 5.6 earthquake that hit the Bay Area last night. Sounds like it was pretty minor by Cali standards, and shouldn’t affect Saturday’s game in any way, so really, I’m not so sure why I just linked to it, but there you go.
As for our paper, we had a couple of stories today on the Huskies. There’s this story on Stanford quarterback Tavita Pritchard, a Tacoma native who made headlines by beating USC in his first college start. We also have a notebook that leads off with some more info on J.R. Hasty’s return to the team.
Husky basketball fans probably know by now that the season is starting, and John Sleeper wrote a column about new women’s head coach Tia Jackson.
Also, in fun video news, here’s another angle of the crazy finish to the D-III Millsaps vs. Trinity game I mentioned yesterday. I kinda like this end zone angle of the play better.
