SHORELINE – The Stanwood Spartans used constant pressure and took advantage of 23 Shorewood turnovers to win a girls non-conference basketball game 44-26 Wednesday night at Shorewood High School.
Stanwood improved its overall record to 2-0.
“Their pressure was for 32 minutes and we turned the ball over plenty,” Shorewood coach Jeff Bernhardt said.
Rachele Kloke led all scorers with 15 points, added 11 rebounds and had five assists for the Spartans.
“Rachele had a great game, she’s a good player, Bernhardt said.
Becky Farden paced Shorewood (1-1) with eight points.
Courtney Collins filled in for the injured Dawnia Sudweeks and scored 10 points for Stanwood.
