Stanwood’s Mailloux nets winner

STANWOOD – Goalkeeper Shay Mailloux held Arlington scoreless in the first half, then scored the go-ahead goal with 16 minutes remaining to lead Stanwood to a 2-0 Wesco North victory Tuesday night.

Snohomish 4, Oak Harbor 0: At Oak Harbor, senior Brandon Crutchfield led the offense with a goal and an assist and sophomore keeper John MacArthur kept Oak Harbor scoreless as Snohomish remained unbeaten after three Wesco North games. Jordan Dettmer, Brian Ferrin and Brendan Rosgen each added goals for the Panthers.

Marysville-Pilchuck 3, Monroe 0: At Marysville, Ryan Willis recorded the shutout for Marysville-Pilchuck en-route to the Wesco North win. Justin Hanson, who also had an assist, Cameron Ewell and John Whitfield each scored a goal for the Tomahawks. Ian Phipps added an assist and made a goal-line save for the second time this year for M-P.

Lake Stevens 2, Mount Vernon 0: At Mount Vernon, Brent Wise scored in the 12th minute and Eric Guenther found the net in the 33rd minute to propel Lake Stevens to the Wesco North victory. Vikings goalkeeper Zach Hardwick recorded his third shutout of the season.

Lakewood 2, Mount Baker 0: At Lakewood, goalkeeper Drew Scott recorded his second shutout of the season for Lakewood in the non-league contest. Logan Throndsen found the net in the first half and Serjay Shevchuck added an insurance goal in the second half for the Cougars.
