State girls soccer update: Everett leads 2-0

Wow. The flow of this game sure changed in a hurry.

Known for its quick-strike offense, Everett just scored two goals in a span of 43 seconds. Senior Brittany McMullen scored the first one after slipping behind a Seattle Prep defender deep in the penalty box.

McMullen had the assist on Everett’s second goal.

So far Everett has five shots on goal. Seattle Prep has three. The pace of play is like a game of ping-pong. One team attacks, the other steals the ball and immediately cruises the other way.
