EVERETT — Two members of the Washington Stealth were honored by the National Lacrosse League on Wednesday for their performances in the team’s 13-6 victory over Colorado last Saturday.
Goalkeeper Tyler Richards was named Defensive Player of the Week after saving 51 of 57 shots and recording one assist against the Mammoth. Richards’ .895 save percentage in the game was his best of the season and the assist was his first point of the year.
Transition player Mitch McMichael also earned Rookie of the Week after scoring two goals and collecting four loose balls against Colorado. McMichael just missed his first-career hat trick by having a third goal reversed for a crease violation.
Offensive Player of the Week went to Rochester’s Cody Jamieson and Transition Player of the Week was Minnesota’s Tyler Hass.
