The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday with no deals being made by the Seahawks.

There was some speculation that receiver DK Metcalf was sought by NFL teams, but he’ll still be the Seattle when the team plays San Francisco on Nov. 17 after a bye this week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens were buyers as the NFL trade deadline passed. The New Orleans Saints were the most prominent sellers. Wide receivers and pass rushers remained in focus, and several moves had the potential to influence the playoff races.

The Steelers were among the most active teams, bolstering their wide receiver corps for their improved downfield passing game led by former Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, by trading with the New York Jets for Mike Williams and fortifying their already powerful defense by adding Green Bay Packers edge rusher Preston Smith. But they had plenty of company.

The Lions added Cleveland Browns pass rusher Za’Darius Smith. The Commanders picked up four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore from the Saints. The Ravens, who previously acquired wide receiver Diontae Johnson, traded for Los Angeles Rams cornerback Tre’Davious White, another former Pro Bowl pick. And the Dallas Cowboys made a move for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jonathan Mingo.

The flurry of trades came after several deals for high-profile wide receivers had been completed in recent weeks, with Davante Adams going from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Jets, Amari Cooper going from the Browns to the Buffalo Bills and DeAndre Hopkins moving from the Tennessee Titans to the Kansas City Chiefs.
