For 10 years, before the start of every WNBA season, general manager from each team conduct a survey which makes predictions for the upcoming campaign. The results of this year’s survey are in and the Seattle Storm earned the top spot in several categories.
As they have many times before, the Storm were voted to have the best home-court advantage in the WNBA with 82 percent of the vote. Head coach Brian Agler was also voted the best head coach in the last two minutes of a game (44 percent), Lauren Jackson was voted the best power forward (45 percent), Sue Bird was voted the best at making her teammates better (55 percent), the active player who would make the best head coach (45 percent) and the league’s best point guard (75 percent). Tops in all those categories, it is no surprise that Bird was also voted the best leader (45 percent).
The GM’s also voted the Minnesota Lynx as the team most likely to win the WNBA Finals. Full results of the survey can be found at www.wnba.com.
