The Storm lead 44-33 at halftime and that is really a testament to how good the Silver Stars really are.
The Storm played nearly perfect in the first half, and the Silver Stars are still very much in the game. Seattle had an opportunity to put the game away in final five minutes of the first half, but they failed to do so. The first 15 minutes were outstanding, but the final five minutes could cost them.
One thing that is almost a certainty is that the Storm will not be able to shot the ball like they did in the first half, which stands to reason that the Silver Stars will have an opportunity to cut the deficit even more. Seattle shot 19-for-30 (63.3 percent), but made just five of their final 15 shots, after opening the game 14-for-15.
For all of the Storm’s greatness in the first 15 minutes, the Silver Stars weathered the Storm, I predict this one will be close in the game’s final minutes.
Swin Cash leads the Storm with 10 points, Katie Smith made three of her five shots and chipped in eight points.
Scholanda Robinson leads the Silver Stars with 10 points, Becky Hammon chipped in nine.
