Seattle Storm guard Tanisha Wright was named to the WNBA’s All-Defensive First Team and forward Swin Cash to the Second Team on Thursday.
The duo helped anchor a defensive unit that held opponents to a league-low 69.9 points per game this past season.
It is Wright’s third consecutive appearance on the First Team.
Chicago Sky center Sylvia Fowles was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year with 19 votes, edging out league MVP Tamika Catchings, who received 18 votes.
Joining Fowles, Catchings and Wright on the First Team was Minnesota’s Rebekkah Brunson and Atlanta’s Angel McCoughtry.
Joining Cash on the Second Team was Atlanta’s Sancho Lyttle and Armintie Price, Connecticut’s Tina Charles and Indiana’s Katie Douglas.
