Sub-regional girls wrestling tournament results

It was a successful weekend for many local female wrestlers.

Stanwood and Lakewood placed second and third, respectively, in the team standings at the Girls Sub-Region 2 Wrestling Championships. Defending state champion Sedro-Woolley, ranked No. 1 in the state by Washington Wrestling Report, rolled to the sub-region team title, scoring 220 points more than runnerup Stanwood.

The top four finishers in each weight class advanced to the regional tournament at Sedro-Woolley High. It starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
