Sultan earns win with pressure

SULTAN — Sultan relied on a steady diet of pressure defense to defeat Cascade Christian 66-38 in a non-conference game at Sultan High School Thursday night.

“The kids played hard … best game of the season,” Sultan coach Rodney Walker said.

Sultan senior Morgan Thomas had 14 points, seven assists and 12 steals to lead the Turks. Brieanna O’hara scored 19 points and chipped in five steals.

Sultan held a 31-to-14 turnover/recovery advantage and converted many of those extra possessions into baskets.
