I was halfway down the hall on the way out of the hotel today when I noticed a strange sight out the window: blue sky. After returning to my room to fetch my sunglasses, it was off for the long trip to Cypress Mountain for today’s men’s moguls competition, which includes Patrick Deneen of Cle Elum.
Currently I’m at the media center waiting for the next bus up to Cypress, and that’s after a bus ride and crowded train ride just to get here.
Despite the blue sky today, weather remains a big problem up here. Up at Whistler this morning, they called off women’s downhill training yet again. Bad news for just about everyone but Lindsey Vonn, who can use every day possible to get better.
OK, gotta run and catch that bus to Cypress. Be back soon with some mogul skiing action.
