The Minnesota Lynx moved one step closer to completing their outstanding season by advancing to the WNBA Finals with a 103-86 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.
The Lynx swept the Mercury 2-0 to advance to the Finals for the first time in the history of the franchise.
Maya Moore and Taj McWilliams-Franklin each scored 21 points to lead the Lynx. Diana Taurasi and DeWanna Bonner each scored 22 points to lead the Mercury.
The Atlanta Dream forced a decisive Game 3 in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 94-77 victory over the Indiana Fever.
Game 3 will be played Tuesday in Indianapolis with the winner advancing to the WNBA Finals to face the Lynx.
Iziane Castro Marques scored 30 points to lead the Dream. Katie Douglas led Indiana with 25 points.
The WNBA Finals will begin next Sunday in Minneapolis.
