Another impressive victory by the Jackson Timberwolves (31-0 over Edmonds-Woodway on Friday) combined with some big upsets means Jackson has its highest ranking of the season.
Unbeaten Jackson of Mill Creek is now No. 4 in the Tacoma News Tribune Class 4A state rankings. Last week the T-wolves (4-0) were No. 8. I’m a little surprised that Marysville-Pilchuck (4-0) still has not entered the top 10 but if the Tomahawks keep playing well and piling up incredible rushing stats it will happen sooner or later.
In Class 3A, Meadowdale (4-0) is No. 6, three spots higher than a week ago. Meanwhile, Glacier Peak dropped out of the top 10 after its loss against 4A Mountlake Terrace. Glacier Peak was previously No. 6. This week the Grizzlies play a huge Wesco 3A game versus Meadowdale in Edmonds.
In Class 2A, Archbishop Murphy moved up a spot to No. 2 after its blowout win over Sultan.
