KIRKLAND — Seattle Seahawk middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu entered a not guilty plea today in connection with a May drunken driving arrest in Kirkland.
His attorney, John Fox, said the plea will buy time for the defense team. Tatupu’s next date in Kirkland Municipal Court is July 7.
Tatupu was dressed in a suit today and accompanied by three lawyers. He did not speak after the brief hearing.
“This was done to preserve the status quo and leave all our options open,” Fox said after the plea was entered. “We intend to look at all possible outcomes and look forward to resolution.”
