One Eighty Racing on Board in California: One Eighty will once again be the primary sponsor for the No. 81 Randy Moss Motorsports Toyota Tundra for this Saturday’s race at Auto Club Speedway in California.

Last week, One Eighty was on board for Malsam’s 10th-place finish at Daytona International Speedway. For more information on One Eighty, please visit www.oneeightytwist.com. Also, One Eighty will continue its partnership with Tayler Malsam and Randy Moss Motorsports throughout the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Home Sweet Home…close anyways: It’s hard to think that this week’s race is one of the closest “home” tracks for Tayler Malsam. Malsam’s hometown of Seattle, Wash. is nearly 1,000 miles from Auto Club Speedway, but the California track is the second closest track to Malsam’s family home. (Note: The closest NCWTS track to Sammamish e is Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is 875 miles away.) Sponsor One Eighty’s headquarters are also located in Seattle.

Tayler Malsam on racing close(r) to hometown: “I really enjoy racing on the West Coast since it is a little closer to Seattle. It is still a pretty good ways away from my hometown, but I will have a lot of family and friends at this weekend’s race. It is kind of amazing that drivers from the Pacific Northwest like Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle have done so well in NASCAR when the nearest tracks are so far away. I hope to follow their paths and compete in the Sprint Cup Series.”

Truck racing on FOX Sports: This Saturday afternoon the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will have one of two races broadcasted live on national television, FOX. The next race televised on FOX will be held at Martinsville Speedway on March 28.

Raybestos Rookie of the Year update: Tayler Malsam currently sits second in the NASCAR Raybestos Rookie of the Year, seven points behind J.R. Fitzpatrick. Malsam ran very consistent during his first NASCAR restrictor plate race weekend – clocking the seventh fastest, second fastest and 13th fastest times in the three practices sessions, before qualifying in the 11th position and finishing in 10th-place.

Malsam at California: Malsam has never raced at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The Rookie of the Year candidate will see the banks of the 2.0-mile D-Shaped oval for the first time on Thursday as the NCWTS takes the track for their first practice session. The 20-year-old has competed on the infield road course at the West Coast track, when he raced a TR open wheel car. In addition, Malsam has raced at nearby Irwindale Speedway and at numerous California sprint car tracks.

Tayler Malsam’s At-Track Crew:

Doug Wolcott (crew chief); Andrew Emrick (truck chief); Matthew Aschbrenner (front tire changer); Matthew House (front tire carrier); Steve “Hank” Hill (jackman); TBD (rear tire changer); Michael Hubert (rear tire carrier); Steve Fielder (catch can);

Bryan Griffin (gasman).
