Team effort boosts M-P by Bellingham

MARYSVILLE – The Bary Gould era has begun in grand fashion.

The Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks got balanced scoring and used stingy defense to win a non-conference game in dominant style over Bellingham, 78-63 Tuesday night at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

Junior 6-foot-9 post Nathan Lozeau tied for game-high honors with 27 points and fellow junior Jared Stohl added 24, including four 3-pointers to lead M-P’s offensive attack.

“This was a team effort,” M-P coach Bary Gould said.

M-P point guard Keaton Taitingfong was steady, delivering eight points and eight assists, and Marquise Moses was 6-for-6 from the floor, scoring 13 points and nabbing five steals.
