The Silvertips have three signed prospects taking part in the Telus Cup, the Canadian midget hockey equivalent of the Memorial Cup. Today was the third day of the tournament, and it was a good one for Everett’s prospects. Carson Stadnyk had a goal and three assists and was named the Saskatoon Contacts’ player of the game in their 9-1 victory over Sudbury. Ty Mappin had a goal and an assist and was named the Red Deer Optimist Rebels’ player of the game in their 3-2 victory over Leduc, a result that guaranteed Red Deer a spot in the semifinals. Everett’s other prospect, Dawson Leedahl, also had a nice day, notching a goal and two assists for Saskatoon.
