A look at the top offensive players in the area this past season.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Capassio Cherry, sr., RB, Edmonds-Woodway

Cherry rushed for 2,021 yards and 25 touchdowns, averaging 8.2 yards per carry and 202 yards per game. He broke eight touchdown runs of 50-plus yards and twice topped 300 yards rushing, including a season-high 351 yards and four touchdowns in an overtime loss to Wesco 3A South champion Snohomish.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Tom Tri, Lake Stevens

Tri guided the Vikings to their first state championship game appearance since 1994. Lake Stevens claimed its sixth consecutive Wesco 4A title and finished the season with a 13-1 record, earning state-playoff wins over Curtis, Graham-Kapowsin and Woodinville en route to the Class 4A state title game.

FIRST TEAM

Tre Long, sr., QB, Lake Stevens

Long directed the Vikings’ high-powered offense, completing 71 percent of his passes for 2,839 yards, 32 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also rushed for 493 yards and 12 touchdowns while helping lead Lake Stevens to the 4A state title game.

Tyler Massena, sr., RB, Snohomish

Massena totaled nearly 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 30 offensive touchdowns while leading the Panthers to the Wesco 3A title and a 3A state-playoff appearance. He rushed for 1,455 yards and 27 scores — including two game-winning touchdown runs in overtime — while averaging 9.6 yards per carry. He also had 509 yards receiving, three touchdown catches and two kickoff-return scores.

Efton Chism III, jr., WR, Monroe

Chism III caught 50 passes for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 86 yards receiving per game. He also returned two kickoffs for scores and played backup quarterback for the Bearcats, throwing four touchdown passes and rushing for a score.

Evan Mannes, sr., WR, Glacier Peak

Mannes had 47 catches for 742 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 74 yards receiving per game while helping the Grizzlies to a Week 10 playoff appearance.

Griffin Gardoski, sr., WR, Arlington

Gardoski hauled in 42 receptions for 657 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 73 yards receiving per game while helping the Eagles to a Week 10 playoff appearance. He caught two game-winning touchdown passes in the final seconds of regulation or overtime.

Jaro Rouse, sr., WR, Shorewood

Rouse caught 47 passes for 853 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 95 yards receiving per game while helping the Thunderbirds to a Week 10 playoff appearance and the program’s best season in more than a decade.

Dorian Hardin, sr., Multi-purpose, Oak Harbor

Hardin totaled 1,519 yards from scrimmage and 19 offensive touchdowns while leading the Wildcats to the Week 10 playoffs. He rushed for 1,056 yards and 13 scores in Oak Harbor’s Wing-T attack, averaging 8.4 yards per carry. He also had 463 yards receiving, six touchdown catches and a kickoff return for a score.

Devin Kylany, jr., OL, Lake Stevens

Kylany manned left tackle for the Vikings, helping pave the way for a high-powered rushing attack that averaged 7.6 yards per carry and 250 yards per game. He helped anchor a dominant offensive line that played an integral role in Lake Stevens’ run to the 4A state title game.

Logan Bruce-Jones, jr., OL, Lake Stevens

Bruce-Jones manned left guard for the Vikings, helping pave the way for a powerful rushing attack that averaged 7.6 yards per carry and 250 yards per game. He helped anchor a dominant offensive line that played an integral role in Lake Stevens’ run to the 4A state title game.

Ma’ake Fifita, sr., OL, Glacier Peak

Fifita, a recent Washington State University signee, played left tackle for Glacier Peak’s high-powered offense and helped the Grizzlies to a Week 10 playoff appearance.

Carter Cole, sr., OL, Snohomish

Cole manned left tackle for the Panthers, helping pave the way for a high-powered rushing attack that averaged 6.8 yards per carry and 278 yards per game. He anchored a dominant offensive line that helped Snohomish claim the Wesco 3A title and advance to the 3A state playoffs.

Cade Tucker, sr., OL, Marysville Pilchuck

Tucker helped pave the way for the Tomahawks’ Wing-T rushing attack and played an integral role in Marysville Pilchuck improving from just two wins last year to 7-3 this season.

Gavin Dalziel, soph., K, Shorecrest

Dalziel made 34 of 36 extra-point attempts and 5 of 6 field-goal attempts. He hit a 40-yard field goal against Snohomish to force overtime and a 39-yarder against Meadowdale on the final play of the first half.

SECOND TEAM

Ayden Ziomas, sr., QB, Glacier Peak

Ziomas completed 73 percent of his passes for 2,100 yards, 27 touchdowns and just five interceptions. He also rushed for 458 yards and eight scores while leading the Grizzlies to the Week 10 playoffs.

Trenton Hurst, sr., RB, Marysville Pilchuck

Hurst rushed for 1,375 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 8.1 yards per carry while helping the Tomahawks improve from just two wins last year to 7-3 this season.

Dallas Landeros, jr., RB, Lake Stevens

Landeros rushed for 1,372 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 7.4 yards per carry and 114 yards per game while helping the Vikings reach the 4A state title game. He twice topped 240 yards rushing, including a season-high 248 yards and three touchdowns in a state-quarterfinal win over Graham-Kapowsin. He also had 179 yards receiving and a touchdown catch.

Antonio Stillwell, sr., WR, Shorecrest

Stillwell caught 46 passes for 798 yards and seven touchdowns while helping the Scots reach the Week 10 playoffs.

Kasen Kinchen, jr., WR, Lake Stevens

Kinchen had 50 catches for 1,051 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 75 yards receiving per game while helping the Vikings reach the 4A state title game. He scored on six touchdown receptions of 50-plus yards.

Garrett Holden, jr., WR, Jackson

Holden caught 35 passes for 708 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 174 yards and four scores in the wildcat formation after the Timberwolves’ starting quarterback was injured midway through the season.

Roman Savchuk, jr., WR/TE, Mariner

Savchuk hauled in 37 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 75 yards receiving per game.

Michai Harris, sr., Multi-purpose, Lakewood

Harris totaled 872 yards from scrimmage and nine offensive touchdowns while helping the Cougars to the Week 10 playoffs. He caught 33 passes for 545 yards and seven scores, including a school-record 236 yards receiving and three touchdowns against Archbishop Murphy. He also rushed for 327 yards and two scores, averaging 10.5 yards per carry. And he averaged 40.2 yards per kickoff return, including an 85-yard touchdown.

Alex Maxwell, sr., OL, Meadowdale

Maxwell, a three-time All-Wesco 3A South first-team selection, manned right tackle for the Mavericks.

Wyatt Hall, jr., OL, Lake Stevens

Hall, a center, helped pave the way for a high-powered rushing attack that averaged 7.6 yards per carry and 250 yards per game. He helped anchor a dominant offensive line that played an integral role in the Vikings’ run to the 4A state title game.

Anthony Amundsen, sr., OL, Everett

Amundsen received first-team All-Wesco 3A South honors for the second consecutive season.

Derek Stultz, sr., OL, Snohomish

Stultz moved from tackle to center this season and helped pave the way for a high-powered rushing attack that averaged 6.8 yards per carry and 278 yards per game. He was a key part of a dominant offensive line that helped Snohomish claim the Wesco 3A title and advance to the 3A state playoffs.

Jared Pavek, sr., OL, Jackson

Pavek, a first-team All-Wesco 4A selection, showcased his versatility this season by playing all five positions on the offensive line.

Brock Widmann, sr., K, Lake Stevens

Widmann made 85 of 90 extra-point attempts and all four field-goal attempts, with a long of 26 yards.
