Lake Stevens High School grad Kelly Kubec is probably the most dominant, successful prep wrestler I have covered since I started writing for The Herald. Check out some of Kubec’s biggest high school achievements:
*Won three Class 4A state individual championships (2005: 112 pounds; 2006: 130 pounds; 2007: 130 pounds)
*Four-time state placer
*Career match record of 144-11
*Helped Lake Stevens win the 4A state team title in 2007
*Scholarship to Oregon State University
