The Herald’s College Athlete of the Week: Oak Harbor alum John Hu

Formerly a star swimmer for the Oak Harbor Wildcats, John Hu (pronounced Who) now competes for the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Never heard of it? Neither had I, until this morning when I read Scott M. Johnson’s College Athlete of the Week interview with Hu.

In addition to being one of Stevens’ best swimmers, Hu is studying chemical engineering. He talks to Scott about Michael Phelps, the dreaded “Jersey Shore” TV show and can’t-miss swim team T-shirt slogans like “Hu’s Your Daddy?”
