EVERETT — Conner Roulette’s third-period goal broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 2-1 victory over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action Saturday at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Despite the loss, Everett (17-6-1-0, 35 points) remained tied with Portland (16-6-1-2, 35 points) atop the U.S. Division.
Everett opened the scoring in the first period, getting a goal from Ronan Seeley at the 1:05 mark. It was Seeley’s second goal of the season. Cole Fonstad and Gage Goncalves collected assists on the play.
Seattle tied the contest less than two minutes later on a goal by Andrej Kukuca, his seventh of the season.
After a scoreless second period, Roulette produced the game-winner at 13:58 of the third.
Dustin Wolf made 36 saves in net for the Silvertips.
