Baseball/softball

— Cal Ripken Summer Sandlot Baseball Classic Tournaments are scheduled for July 24-26 (U-8/9), and Aug. 14-16 (U-12). The tournaments are hosted by the Everett Boys &Girls Club. For more information, call Dave at 425-259-5147

— Sting Select Baseball is holding tryouts for its 2010 teams on July 25-26 and Aug. 2-3 at Meadowdale High School. Teams offered include 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 17/18. For more information, visit www.stingselectbaseball.com. Information is also available on the Fall baseball season.

— Sockeye Baseball Club, an all volunteer, non-profit organization providing select baseball to Sky Valley will hold tryouts for the 2010 season Saturday August 8th at Lake Tye Park. Tryouts will be held for U13, U14, U15 and U16 teams. More details are available at www.sockeyebaseball.org.

— Laces Baseball Academy will be offering roster spots for Fall 2009 baseball. Fall baseball begins September 13th and ends October 25th, and ages are U14, U16 and U18. Laces will also hold tryouts for the 2010 season. Tryouts will be held Sunday, August 16th at Everett Memorial Stadium for U13, U14/15, U16 and U18 teams. Basketball

— Registration is open for the Tulalip Casino I-5 Extravaganza Three-on-Three Basketball Tournament. The event is scheduled for Aug. 8-9 in the casino parking lot. For more information, visit www.bgcsc.org.

— Advantage Basketball camps is accepting registration for summer camp 2009. In Everett, the camps will occur at the Epicenter from August 10-16. In Marysville, the camps will occur at Grace Academy from August 3-8. For more information visit www.advantagebasketball.com or call 425-670-8877.

Football/Cheerleading

—The third annual Jackson Junior Timberwolves Football Camp is scheduled for July 27-30 at the Jackson High School practice fields. The camp is for players ages 7-14. Sessions run from 6 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. The camp fee is $80. For more information, call Tim at 425-766-7477.

Golf

—The 2009 Eagle Open Golf Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 1 at Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington. The tournament is a fund-raiser for the Arlington High School football team. The four-person scramble costs $80 per golfer and includes golf, lunch, prizes and a $10,000 hole-in-one prize. Hole sponsorships also are available. Volleyball

— Edmonds Community College is offering Volleyball Camps on Aug. 10-13 (boys and girls in grades 6-10) and Aug. 17-20 (high school girls). For more information, call the Edmonds CC athletic department at 425-640-1415
