The Everett AquaSox will have three representatives in next week’s all-star game between the Northwest League and the Pioneer League.
Infielders Drew Jackson and Logan Taylor, and starting pitcher Luiz Gohara were named to the NWL squad Tuesday morning.
Jackson, a fifth-round pick by the Seattle Mariners in 2015, is second in the Northwest League with a .368 batting average and first in stolen bases (23).
Taylor is tied for fourth in the NWL with a .317 average. The 12th-round pick has reached base in 20 consecutive games.
Gohara, who turns 19 next week, is one of the top prospects in the Mariners’ organization. The left-hander from Brazil is 2-3 with a 4.20 earned-run average and 34 strikeouts in 30 innings.
The all-star game takes place at 7 p.m. Aug. 4 at Avista Stadium in Spokane.
“Any time you make an all-star game, whether it’s professionally, tee-ball or Little League, it’s great,” AquaSox manager Rob Mummau said. “It’s a great honor.”
