Karen Blair, who led the Meadowdale High School girls basketball team to a pair of state titles, is one of six people selected recently for induction into the Washington State Girls Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Blair compiled a 255-39 record and won two state titles (2000, 2004) in her 11 seasons at Meadowdale. She also coached at Ballard High School.
Blair will be inducted March 15 at King’s High School along with two other former coaches with local ties: Steve Berg of Lake Stevens and Eric Rasmussen of King’s.
The rest of the induction class of 2019 includes former coaches Paul Dretsch (Black Hills, Wahkiakum) and Terry Wilkinson (Blanchet), and sports writer Scott Sandsberry of the Yakima Herald Republic.
