Three local fall sports teams were announced as academic state champions this week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
The King’s boys cross country team claimed the Class 1A academic state title in its sport with a combined 3.849 grade-point average among its eight participants.
The King’s football team won the 1A academic state title with a combined 3.403 GPA among its 25 participants.
The Cedar Park Christian-Mountlake Terrace boys soccer team earned the 1B academic state title with a combined 3.624 GPA among its 15 participants.
