FOOTBALL

Northwest 1B

Tulalip Heritage 26, Lummi Nation 14

NaShone Whitebear carried the ball 14 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns in Tulalip Heritage’s 26-14 win over Lummi Nation on Thursday night. Elijah Elisondo added a 35-yard touchdown run for the Hawks as well. This was Tulalip Heritage’s first win over Lummi Nation in school history.

Tulalip was able to stave off Lummi’s fourth-quarter comeback after holding them scoreless through the first three quarters. With the win, Tulalip Heritage moves to 2-0 on the season. The Hawks will face off against Clallam Bay next Saturday.
