EVERETT — Trent Tingelstad and Noelvi Marte hit two-run home runs and the Everett AquaSox beat the Eugene Emeralds 5-1 on Sunday at Funko Field.
Tingelstad, a Marysville Pilchuck High School grad, put Everett up 2-0 with his blast in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Myles Miller hit an RBI single and Marte plated Miller with his homer for a 5-0 lead in the fifth.
Tingelstad, Marte and Justin Lavey each had two hits for the AquaSox (21-29).
Luis Toribio hit a solo home run for the Emeralds (26-20).
Everett’ Ken Giles struck out two in a perfect first inning as the opener and Juan Mercedes (3-3) followed with five scoreless innings to earn the win. Mercedes allowed just two hits and struck our four.
Eugene’s Nick Swiney (1-2) allowed four runs on five hits and one walk over four innings, striking out six.
