KELOWNA, B.C. — Pavel Novak scored the lone goal in the shootout and the Kelowna Rockets beat the Everett Silvertips 4-3 on Friday night at Prospera Place.
The Silvertips’ eight-game win streak came to an end, but Everett was still able to earn a point in the process.
Austin Roest, Ryan Hofer and Olen Zellweger all scored in regulation as the Silvertips and Rockets traded goals throughout the first two periods.
Braden Holt stopped 24 of 27 shots in goal for Everett (33-7-2-3).
Talyn Boyko stopped 34 of 37 shots for Kelowna (25-11-1-3).
The Silvertips return to their home ice at 6:05 p.m. Saturday in a showdown with Kamloops.
