Overage candidate Dan Iwanski will not be returning to Everett next season. The left winger is exploring his educational opportunities.
Iwanski spent one-and-a-half seasons with the Tips after arriving in the trade that sent Kyle Beach to Lethbridge. Last season he had 10 goals and six assists in 43 games, coming on strong late in the season when placed on a line with Clayton Cumiskey and Scott MacDonald.
Iwanski was one of six players who were eligible to fill Everett’s three overage spots for next season, and he likely was a bubble candidate. His departure leaves Cumiskey, defensemen Radko Gudas, Chris de la Lande and Curtis Kulchar, and goaltender Thomas Heemskerk as the overage candidates. Gudas and Heemskerk are expected to play professionally next season.
