NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans have placed quarterback Jake Locker on injured reserve because of an injured right foot and replaced him on the roster by promoting Devon Wylie from the practice squad.
Locker, a former University of Washington standout, was hurt in a 29-27 loss to Jacksonville, and the Titans officially ended his season Tuesday.
With returner and receiver Damian Williams hurting his hip, the Titans promoted Wylie. Wylie played six games with Kansas City last season, and the receiver from Fresno State returned nine kickoffs for an average of 21.2 yards and averaged 5.2 yards on five punt returns. He was in camp with the Chiefs and also on the practice squad in Arizona and Pittsburgh.
