LAKE STEVENS – The Lake Stevens Vikings put together a steady display of scoring Wednesday night for a 50-37 win over Lynnwood in a non-league game played at Lake Stevens High School.
Maisie Todd, the lone returning starter from last year’s 16-4 team, led the charge for the Vikings with 16 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, an assist and two blocked shots.
“Both teams pressed and we just slowly pulled ahead,” Lake Stevens coach Steve Berg said. “We jumped out 14-4 early on and just kept playing.”
Up 24-17 at the half, Lake Stevens outscored Lynnwood by six points down the stretch, with help from Sophomore Katie Holloway, who contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.
“The last year or two she’s really starting to come into her own and really starting to be a basketball player,” Berg said.
Cascade 46, Edmonds-Woodway 29: Michelle Sullivan, who scored 13 points, sparked Cascade’s 18-point third quarter with a pair of steals. LuAnn Anderson contributed 14 points for the Bruins in the non-conference game.

Marysville-Pilchuck 51, Kamiak 43: Down 12 points going into the fourth quarter, the Kamiak Knights reduced Marysville-Pilchuck’s lead to eight but couldn’t get their shooting on track for most of the night.
Mariko Coverdale scored 15 points for the Tomahawks and shot 7-for-11 from foul line. Teammate Morgan Zamora made 10 of 10 free throws.
For Kamiak, Kelsey Larsen had 11 rebounds and six steals.

Juanita 66, Monroe 47: Jenny Hager scored a game-high 21 points to lead Juanita to its fifth consecutive victory. Courtney Clapp followed with 20 points for Juanita, which went 25-for-27 from the free-throw line. Monica Bunge led Monroe with 17 points. 19 14 15 18 – 66 20 6 11 10 – 47
Oak Harbor 73, Squalicum 66: Marcella Manibusan nailed six 3-pointers en route to a 23-point performance as Oak Harbor picked up its second consecutive victory. Shirley Spears added 20 points and freshman Heidi McNeill contributed 13. Kami Irwin led Squalicum with 19.

Burlington-Edison 48, Arlington 13: Burlington crippled Arlington on Wednesday with a tough zone defense that and held the Eagles to 5-of-35 shooting. Center Megan Murdock had four rebounds for Arlington. They play at Mount Vernon on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Cedarcrest 60, Sultan 59: Jason Eldred hit one of his three 3-pointers with 20 seconds remaining in overtime to lead Cedarcrest to victory. Eldred finished with 14 points. Phil Powers led Sultan with 21 points and Brandon Agnew finished with 14.

Sultan ‘C’ team 63, Skykomish 49: The Turks boys C team opened its season at home with a 63-49 non-conference win over Skykomish. Caleb Barnhill led the team with 19 points, followed by Josh Lemmon, who chipped in 15.
