A quick update on the status of TE John Carlson and CB Marcus Trufant, both of whom left the field on back boards after suffering head injuries.
Pete Carroll said both are at the hospital and will stay there overnight for observation, but that both are expected to be OK.
“From all in
dications, both guys are OK,” he said.
TE Cameron Morrah was also out of the game for a while with turf toe, but did come back. Without Carlson and with a limited Morrah, the offense was pretty hamstrung.
“We’ve got a big, giant call sheet,” Matt Hasselbeck explained, “That took it down to a corner of it.”
As for the loss itself, the consensus from both Carroll and his players seemed to be that, while they were proud of the way the team finished the season, they let a big opportunity slip by with a sloppy performance today.
“I don’t know if everyone realizes how close we were,” Matt Hasselbeck said.
OK, time to get cranking for the paper. I’ll try to get some updates here later, but depending on how things go, the blog could be a casualty of stuff for the paper. For much more, be sure to check heraldnet.com tomorrow or pick up a copy of the Herald.
