The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Los Angeles Sparks for their sixth win in seven games on Tuesday by a score of 85-72.

With the win, the Lynx maintain a one game lead over the San Antonio Silver Stars for first place in the Western Conference.

Seimone Augustus scored 22 points for Minnesota (11-4). Kristi Toliver scored 28 points to lead the Sparks (6-9).

After winning their first two games under new head coach Joe Bryant, the Sparks have lost three straight.

The Silver Stars stayed just a game back of the Lynx with their 73-67 victory over the Washington Mystics.

Becky Hammon scored 22 points to lead the Silver Stars (10-5). Crystal Langhorne scored 19 points to lead the Mystics (3-12).

The Connecticut Sun beat the Chicago Sky 77-66.

Asjha Jones scored 22 points and Tina Charles chipped in 21 for Connecticut (10-5). Epiphanny Prince scored 16 points to lead Chicago (8-10).

The Atlanta Dream continued their winning ways of late with a 76-68 victory over the Tulsa Shock.

Angel McCoughtry scored a career-high and WNBA season-high 37 points for the Dream (7-9). Liz Cambage led the Shock (1-15) with 16 points.

In Tuesday’s other game, the Seattle Storm beat the Phoenix Mercury 83-77.
