Cheng, a sophomore forward/midfielder, registered a goal and dished out four assists as the Timberwolves demolished Mariner 9-0 in the Wesco 4A opener for both teams.

Sarah Hommas, Cedarcrest soccer

Hommas, a junior forward, notched two goals and two assists as the Red Wolves shut out Sultan 5-0 in a Cascade Conference matchup.

Tatum McGovern, Monroe volleyball

McGovern, a junior setter, filled up the box score with seven kills, eight assists and 18 digs, but it wasn’t enough to help the Bearcats avoid a 3-game sweep against Kamiak in the Wesco 4A opener for both teams.

Riley Monan, Lynnwood volleyball

Monan, a junior right-side hitter, pounded out 10 kills and totaled 11 digs, but the Royals lost to Issaquah in a non-conference match.
