Certainly not the way Washington wanted to open the half. The Huskies are getting no running game and they need to be able to run it to control the clock.
The tackling on the last defensive drive wasn’t very good either. Word is C.J. Wallace is out with a left knee injury, which is a huge loss as Wallace – along with Scott White – are the two defensive players who you can count on to consistently make plays. Mesphin Forrester and Chris Hemphill are playing in his place.
Washington really needs to answer with a solid drive here or Cal’s momentum may overtake this game.
